Asencio’s “Sentiments” is a visual trilogy comprised of separate but beautifully related images that serve to commemorate but a few of the many dilemmas of love. From the painful longing and insatiable hunger for a lover (“Desire”), the introspection and fear that accompanies the hesitation of giving one’s heart to another (“Conviction”) to the ultimate comfort that follows one’s resignation to succumb – to give and receive love (“Liberation”).
