It has been said that the eyes are the windows to the soul. What then is the door that opens the human soul to the divine truths found in life’s journeys? Using this door as a metaphor, contemporary painter Henry Asencio has created a provocative painting infused with a narrative that embodies the chaos of unresolved ideals and the quest for one’s absolute truth. “Red Door” is a compelling composition that merges the mystery and seduction of complex abstraction with sensual figurative imagery.
